OW by ESN CUE – the 3rd day!

After the absolutely crazy first two days of Orientation Week, Wednesday began – the third day, and so … we gave our new students from abroad a little rest. However only until 14:00! 😉  Exactly then all of us had another opportunity to  meet at the Krakow Market Square in order to enjoy another round of our brilliant City Games! During the half-hour struggle, students had to complete a series of tasks, which included for example giving free hugs to Cracovians, dancing one of the Polish national dances or marking the characteristic points on the map of Krakow. Whilst performing the tasks Erasmus students had a chance to learn more about the city, as well as each other.

 Around 16:00 we went together to the next attraction, which was … ice skating! Despite the sunny weather, ice rink remained good enough to enjoy ourselves to the fullest, so the time spend there was totally unforgettable!

Evening is the best for partying, so this time we had offered our guests a chance to participate in the legendary tram party! After having a total blast in the tram,  everyone went to a club in the city centre, where at the „Traffic lights party”, our new friends were able to figure out which one … is busy, free or in a complex relationship 😉

OW by ESN UEK – dzień trzeci!

Po szalonych dwóch pierwszych dniach Orientation Week, nastąpiła środa, dzień trzeci, a wiec… pozwoliliśmy naszym nowym studentom zza granicy nieco odpocząć. Ale tylko do godziny 14:00 !;-) Wtedy właśnie ponownie spotkaliśmy się na Krakowskim Rynku Głównym aby zaprosić kolejne grupy do zabawy w City Games! W trakcie półtorej godzinnych zmagań studenci musieli wykonać szereg zadań, między innymi takich jak free hugs for Cracovians, zatańczyć jeden z polskich tańców narodowych czy zaznaczyć charakterystyczne dla Krakowa punkty na mapie. W trakcie wykonywania zadań Erasmusi mieli lepiej poznać miasto, a także siebie nawzajem.

O godzinie 16:00 wspólnie wyruszyliśmy na kolejną atrakcję, którą były… łyżwy! Pomimo słonecznej pogody, lodowisko utrzymało gromadkę radosnych studentów, toteż zabawa udała się fantastycznie.

Wieczór to czas kolejnych imprez. Tym razem zaproponowaliśmy naszym gościom udział w legendarnym tram party! Po zabawie w tramwaju wspólnie udaliśmy się do klubu w centrum Krakowa, gdzie na imprezie „Traffic lights party”, nowi przyjaciele mogli dowiedzieć się, który z nich… jest zajęty, wolny lub w skomplikowanym związku 😉

To each, his own! OW day 2.

The second day OW ESN UEK summer 2014 is already behind us. As always we had offered our guests the best ways to spend their first days in Krakow. It was absolutely amazing, as everyone had fun and also a chance to spend time with their new friends.

February 18^th greeted us with beautiful weather, which was very beneficial to all of us, because in accordance to our plan we started the day with City Games. The start was on the Main Square, so participants could enjoy the view and at the same time listen to few words about the monuments, which are in the close proximity to this place. Next in the appropriate groups the students went to do various tasks.

However it wasn’t the end of attractions. The lovers of delicious treats had a chance to take part in the sweet Chocolate Workshops and the fans of racing had a possibility to enjoy a ride in Gokarts. As we say: to each, his own!

In Krakow during night the best fun starts, so it’s the best time to integrate with others and make some amazing memories. After the weeding day, which happened on the previous night, it was finally time for the second party – the Scary Night, with a totally different atmosphere (and people say that after the weeding nothing changes 🙂 ). That’s how the day of our journey came to an end and now we just can’t wait for the next events in Krakow.

Dla każdego coś dobrego! OW dzień 2.

Za nami już drugi dzień OW ESN UEK summer 2014. Jak zawsze oferowaliśmy naszym gościom najlepsze sposoby spędzenia pierwszych dni w Krakowie. Było przyjemnie, zabawnie i pouczająco.

18 luty powitał nas piękną pogodą, co było bardzo przydatne, gdyż dzień zaczęliśmy od City Games. Początek miały one na Rynku Głównym, więc uczestnicy mogli nacieszyć się widokiem  oraz posłuchać kilku mądrych słów na temat zabytków, które się tam znajdują. Następnie, już w grupach udali się wykonywać podane im zadania.

Nie był to jednak koniec atrakcji. Miłośnicy łakoci mógł wybrać się na słodkie Chocolate Workshops, a fani wyścigów mieli możliwość udania się na gokarty. Jak mawiają: dla każdego coś dobrego!

U nas w nocy nie śpimy, lecz bawimy się i integrujemy. Po ślubie dzień wcześniej, nastał czas na Scary Night – drugą wspaniałą imprezę, tym razem w całkowicie odmiennym klimacie (A mówią, że po ślubie się nic nie zmienia 🙂 ). Tym energicznym akcentem zakończyliśmy kolejny dzień naszej wspólnej przygody nastawiając się pozytywnie na następne szaleństwa w Krakowie.

Finally it’s here – a new semester with ESN UEK !!!

17 of February 2014 – a very special day for all of us and not only due to the beautiful spring weather. This is also an extraordinary day for many foreign students who came to Krakow in order to participate in the courses provided by University of Economics and experience the best adventure of their lives. So,  3 … 2 … 1 … ready?! Time to begin the OW ESN CUE Summer Semester 2014!

 The first day of our week of insanity started with the General Meeting, during which the exchange students had a chance to get familiar with all the technical and administrative matters related to their stay in Krakow. Afterwards, Pawel Pankowicz, the representative of ESN CUE, gave the presentation about our organization. During this part we also had an opportunity to introduce many coordinators of major ESN projects, such as OW, Integration Camp and many others.

 At noon, the members of ESN CUE invited the students for a tour of the campus of the University of Economics in Krakow. Then all of us went to Kazimierz, where Karolina Bugała and Anna Kubas, members of ESN CUE and at the same time the guides of Krakow, had given our new friends a great tour of the former Jewish district. Our sightseeing was completed with tasting of the very traditional and popular casseroles in the New Square!

With the evening comes a time of integration, for this occasion we met at Tandem, where everyone actively practised their ‚tongues’ (languages) and then everyone went to the club for a fantastic … wedding! And of course the wedding could not be held without a young couple and traditional Polish delicacies! There were also ‚oczepiny’, the happy chosen who will soon delight us with her marriage was … our new President, Ola Lisińska! We cannot wait for the future developments 😉

Nastrój zmysły, rozgrzej serce – zaczynamy nowy semestr z ESN UEK!

17 lutego 2014 roku – dzień szczególny, nie tylko ze względu na iście wiosenną pogodę. Był to dzień szczególny także dla około setki studentów zagranicznych, którzy przyjechali do Krakowa, aby odbyć część swoich studiów na Uniwersytecie Ekonomicznym w Krakowie. 3… 2… 1… gotowi? Zaczynamy OW ESN UEK Summer Semester 2014!

Pierwszy dzień tygodniowego szaleństwa rozpoczęliśmy General Meeting, w trakcie którego studenci z wymiany zapoznali się z wszystkimi sprawami techniczno-administracyjnymi związanymi z ich pobytem w Krakowie. Następnie, Paweł Pankowicz, Rzecznik ESN UEK, przedstawił nowym studentom prezentacje na temat naszej organizacji. W tej części zaprezentowali się także koordynatorzy OW, Integration Camp oraz największych projektów.

W południe, członkowie ESN UEK zaprosili studentów na wycieczkę po kampusie Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego w Krakowie. Następnie wszyscy wspólnie udaliśmy się na Krakowskich Kazimierz, gdzie Karolina Bugała i Ania Kubas, członkowie ESN UEK a zarazem przewodnicy po Krakowie, oprowadzili naszych nowych przyjaciół po dawnej dzielnicy żydowskiej. Zwiedzanie zakończyliśmy degustacją, klasycznych już, zapiekanek na Placu Nowym!

Wieczór to czas integracji, tym razem spotkaliśmy się na Tandemie, gdzie wszyscy aktywnie ćwiczyli swoje języki (obce) a następnie udaliśmy się do klubu na fantastyczne… przyjęcie weselne! A jak wesele – nie mogło odbyć się bez Pary młodej oraz tradycyjnych, polskich zakąsek! Nie zabrakło także oczepin, szczęśliwą, która wkrótce wyjdzie za mąż została… nasza nowa przewodnicząca, Ola Lisińska! Czekamy na rozwój wydarzeń !;-)
